Although he loved being on the road and going wherever they wanted to go, Jack had to admit that it was good to have a base. A place that they could technically call home even if it wasn't truly home. They didn't have an actual home. Either of them. Jack didn't want one. He had a home a long time ago. He had parents. He had decent meals on the table every morning and night. He was sent to school and was actually learning. He knew he should have liked that, but he didn't. He hated the fact he had a leash on him. He wanted to be able to go out and do what he wanted to do. So he did. It involved a lot of sneaking out and a lot of grounding. He never cared. He went out. He got grounded. He went out again. He got grounded again. It was a cycle that his parents knew he was in control of. He didn't like them. They started to not like him. Well... in his eyes. They didn't like how he smoked and drank and got high. Story of his life before and after he left his parent's house.
Jack sat in the back of Alex's van with a cigarette in his hand. He loved nicotine. He wondered where Alex was. He should go out. It was late afternoon. It was about time to go and try to pick up another guy. Or girl, he supposed. He needed a decent shower, which would also probably involve shower sex. Which was another thing he absolutely loved. He was a horny guy. It was hard not to be if you hung around Alex for too long. His thoughts just rubbed off on you.

Today had been Alex's lucky day, despite the gloomy weather. He'd been leaning against a particularly busy street corner, strumming away, humming, singing, whistling and keeping an eye on the change in his open guitar case when a gangly looking teen had approached him with a proposal he didn't get often. Easiest twenty quid he'd ever made. And he hadn't had to do anything naughty in a back alley. Just play a certain song when he saw a certain girl walk by ten minutes after pocketing the crisp note.
The girl had been delighted, clapped her hands, turned to the gangly teen and blah, blah, blah, kisses. It was sweet but, yeah, too sickly for Alex's taste. He continued playing until the teenage couple was long gone and his fingers threatened to cramp up from pressing down the tough, cold strings for so long. Satisfied with how today had turned out, Alex placed his acoustic in the hard case with a musical clunk, snapped shut the locks and listened to the metallic rain of the coins as they rushed, rolled and slid to the bottom of the case on picking it up.
"Hellooo, JD." Alex sang, nearing his trusty Volkswagen and seeing his friend huddled inside through the open door. The interior to his van was rather sparse: the seats at the back reclined to form a bed easily large enough for two and near the front was a clear space with a table, under the seats/bed, were handy cupboards for any personal objects and there was a tiny fridge in the corner hooked up to the car. And when Alex said tiny, it was minute. There was only enough space in there for twelve cans of beer. He'd checked and counted.
"Thanks for helping me out today, you lazy fuck." Alex rolled his eyes and threw a brown paper bag in Mason's direction which hit him on his chest. In celebration of the easiest twenty ever, Alex had bought burgers and fries. He'd eaten his own and taken a sneaky bite out of his friend's. Served him right for not coming this morning with him. Alex plonked the case down with a jingle of coins and plucked the cigarette dangling enticingly from Jack's hand. He put the filter between his own lips and muttered with a smile: "You get to sort the coppers out this time." [/style]tagged: masex! notes: :3 outfit: clicky! |

Jack couldn't help but smile as he heard Jay's voice outside the van first. He wasn't prepared for the bag to hit him in the chest, but he loved him for it. He smiled and opened the bag, not surprised to see the burger looked already opened. Alex had probably taken a bite knowing him. Whatever. Food was fucking food. Wasn't like he wasn't going to eat it because Alex took a bite from it. They slept together for gods sake. They weren't exactly germ freaks. "Thanks Man. And I was tired. Sue me for wanting to sleep in a bit longer instead of play in the streets."
[/b] So it wasn't exactly early when Alex left... but that didn't matter. Jack's nights were always late. He made up for it by sleeping. He started to protest when Alex stole his cigarette, but gave up before he started and took another out of the pack he stole from some dude he slept with the other day. Poor dude probably wondered where his pack was all morning. Oh well. "Fine. I can deal with that, you idiot. But can I eat first?"[/b] Jack asked as he took a bite of his burger. "You're always fucking tired." Alex said with the cigarette dangling on his lips, bobbing up and down in time with his chin and dropping a dusting or two of ash as it did. "I wear you out that much, do I?"He'd never been one for early mornings and Mason even less from what he'd gathered. He was so hard to get up before noon that Alex just didn't even bother half of the time. It'd be easier probably with a coffee machine but, yeah, this was a camper van, where the fuck was he meant to stash one of those?
"Sure, eat. I'll help." Alex swooped forward in a swift movement and hastily bit the opposite side of the burger while Jack bit into it also. The sprite snickered deviously while he chewed the stolen bit of food. Everything tasted nicer when it wasn't yours. He twisted away quickly and grabbed the lever down by the side of the seat which pushed the backrest backwards into the bed. "My feet are fucking killing me. You should give them a little rub, JD."
Alex flopped onto his back and kicked off his suede shoes, wriggling his toes about and resting his feet on his friend's lap. His head rolled to the side and he eyed his mini-fridge. Fuck. He should've thought about getting a can before he lay down. Now there was no getting him up again for a good half an hour. Alex moaned at his own laziness and finished his pinched cigarette off with one last, long drag, flicking it out the open door as he ran his fingers through his hair. "And grab us a beer too, bitch." Jack probably should have seen that coming. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know Alex when you lived with him for as long as Jack did. Sure they weren't always together... but in the end they always came back here. It was their home. He pulled away from Alex but it was too late for him to have taken a bite. Fucker. Jack just rolled his eyes and took another bite. Maybe he'd meet some romantic that wanted to make him dinner first. That would be awesome. Highly unlikely. But awesome.
When Alex's feet came into the picture, there was no way he was going to rub them. Jack didn't do feet. There was some guy one time that wanted Jack to suck on his big toe because it turned him on... Jack walked away. And the guy was offering a good bit of money. But it looked like the dude had athletes foot or something. It was gross. "Rub your own damn feet." Jack told him with a roll of his eyes. The only reason he reached over to grab two beers was because he wanted one himself. If Alex was the only one... then he would have said no.
He took a drag of his cigarette before taking another bite. Some might say his smoking habit had gotten bad when he could eat and smoke at the same time, but he didn't mind it. He liked the taste of nicotine with his food. It gave it a bit of a kick. "So. Have any fun out there? I think I'm gonna hit the bar tonight. I need a good shower and I might be able to make some money off of it as well. Maybe it'll make up for me being a 'lazy fuck'." Jack laughed and rolled his eyes as he took a swig of the beer.

Alex whined, looking up at Jack with enlarged, pleading eyes when he passed him a chilled can of beer. It was the least his friend could do, right? He'd been busking away a good part of the day and had even thought to bring food back for an undeserving friend. Alex huffed and reluctantly curled up his legs. All he asked for in return was one little rub. It wasn't much, was it?
Alex chased down the unappetizing taste of cigarette smoke with a slew of beer and sighed as he felt the cool liquid go down and pool in his stomach for a moment. The sprite balanced the can on his stomach and propped his head up against a cushion so he could look at Jack properly. "It was pretty good today, you should've came. Played a song for someone. Landslide by Smashing Pumpkins. Earned myself a twenty for it." Hmmm. The bar. Sounded like a possible plan tonight. Alex hadn't been there yet, strangely enough, and it was about time he did go.
"I'll come too. I could do with a shower... but I guess its the hose for me or something." Alex didn't plan to go home with someone just so he could use the shower. He sometimes wasn't too keen on Jack going home with people for, like, money. He was his best friend. He was allowed to worry at times, even with a haze of alcohol dulling his senses, as he sat petting Tootie in the camper. Not like he'd say that though. Jack knew how to take care of himself, Alex just had to remind himself that. "So you're not gonna come back to the van tonight then?" [/style]tagged: masex! notes: :3 outfit: clicky! |

Alex was such a whiner. Honestly. Sure, Jack loved Alex probably more than he's ever loved anyone. He never exactly loved his parents. He didn't have siblings. There wasn't anyone to love and so he didn't bother. He wouldn't even admit that he actually loved Alex either. They were friends. That was all. Nothing too big about being friends. Well. Besides for the obvious fact Alex was Jack's first and only true friend as well. "Suck it up." Jack mumbled as he took another big bite from his burger and a gulp of beer.
"Sounds like easy money to me." He muttered with a smile and laugh. Jack was glad he didn't go now, he didn't like playing for what sounded like a happy moment. He didn't do happy. "Never know. Let's find someone that wants us both." Jack flashed a cocky smile. He was sure they could both find a guy that wanted both of them. Then you mentioned the shower. Round two, and you were nice and clean. It would work and Alex knew it... Jack wasn't sure he was going to go with it though. "Hopefully not? Not if my plan goes right at least. Never know what the town has to offer though." Jack smirked and finished off his burger. He was sure he could find someone.

Yeah. It'd been really easy money. It was a shame really that he didn't have pleasant surprises like that everyday. Busking on the streets was quite a bit of a gamble: there were good days, like today, and then there were terrible days when you're lucky to get enough to just have something for dinner. But Alex didn't mind. He honestly couldn't ever picture himself working a desk job anyway.
"Both of us? Yeah. I highly doubt that." Alex chuckled with a fond shake of his head. If he could get away without selling himself, Alex was good. He'd done it, like, a couple of times but only because things had gotten really, really tight with cash. He didn't do it often like his friend. "I'm not too keen on actually going home with anyone... so... I'll just use the showers by the beach or something." Going home with a stranger was dangerous. Alex might have air powers, being a sprite, but they weren't something he exactly trained religiously. Knowing his luck, first man he went home with would be an axe-murderer with insanely strong powers. And that would be bye-bye Alex.
"Okay, well, if you don't come back... buy us some cat biscuits on the way home or something." A night alone in the van. Fucking awesome. Alex sort of knew, deep down, that the reason why he honestly liked having Jack around with him was just so he wasn't alone all the time. It was selfish of him. They were best friends, don't get him wrong, but there was no ignoring that Jack was here because he needed him here in a way. "Fucking tired of Tootie thinking that mice are an okay thing to bring to the van to eat." [/style]tagged: masex! notes: :3 outfit: clicky! |

Jack knew he would be able to find someone that would want the both of them, but he knew Alex wasn't exactly okay with what he did. Well... he was to a degree, but Jack knew Alex wouldn't really want to do it as much as he did. Jack didn't mind whoring himself. It was fast money and he didn't exactly do something he didn't like. He just did stuff he would have done if he wasn't whoring himself for money. He didn't always do it for money or something or another. He did it for the fun of it too. It just depended on how the guy or girl acted on whether or not he'd actually charge. Most of the time it was girls.
"Alright. I'll pick some up, don't worry." Jack told him with a smile. Tootie was Alex's cat, sure, but Jack still loved the thing as well. Stupid cat knew how to squirm her way into his heart somehow. She was an adorable little thing. Jack had to admit that one. "Well. She's not exactly a domesticated cat, Jay. And wild cats like mice and those kind of things." Jack told him with a fond roll of his eyes. He didn't mind mice or anything that tootie would be able to catch. It wasn't a big deal or anything, and Jack wasn't exactly a girly man like his best friend. He took a long drink of his beer again, sighing after. "How is it that I'm always tired?"

Alex grinned, craning his head to see if the cat in question was snoozing on the dashboard. She wasn't though. Some biscuits would probably do her some good though and maybe Alex would be less tempted to feed her scraps of his own food instead. She wasn't fat. Just... tubby and quite cuddly. When she wanted to cuddle, of course. There'd been a couple of times when he'd gone in for a hug and gotten scratches in return. She wasn't a house cat and was a bit wild. Alex didn't own her. It was more like she owned him.
"Its still gross though. She left a lizard tail in my shoe once." Alex snorted, taking a long drink from his cat and tugging a thin blanket over his legs. It had a suspicious looking stain on it and Alex figured that he really should go to the laundromat sometime soon. "You're tired 'cause I'm too much for you." The sprite winked, looking away from the blemish. "You're getting old, JD. Face it." Really, they only had two years age difference between one another but... that still made Jack the "old fogie" of the van.
Alex looked down at the beer he cradled in his hand and gave it a gentle shake to hear the liquid slosh about inside. He shrugged and brought it back up to his lips, downing the last few mouthfuls in one go. "But, seriously, I don't know how you can sleep so much."

Jack actually liked the cat. It was fat and cute and was fun to have around. So what if she brought a few dead things in the van every so often. It wasn't like it was a big deal, and it gave Jack a chance to burn things. He liked burning things and didn't exactly get to burn a lot. He just shrugged it off and grabbed a pair of jeans out of his bag. He slipped them on over the boxers he slept in but didn't bother putting a shirt on yet. He'd do that as late as he could. He didn't like wearing shirts. He grabbed the small bag that might or might not hold make up in and grabbed his pencil of eyeliner. He rubbed the sleepy's out of his eye quickly before starting to apply eyeliner around his eyes. If he was going out to the bar tonight to look for someone, then he was going to have to look his best.
"Fuck off. I'm not getting old. I'm in my prime!" JD laughed while he rolled his eyes at Alex. He knew he was joking, of course, but that didn't mean he couldn't act like he didn't. "Nothing better to do during the day I guess." Jack didn't know why he slept so much... it was just better to sleep than to not. It gave him energy to go out and party.

He didn't know how the man could do that; not get into fresh underwear. Alex knew he couldn't. Hence why a trip to the laundromat at least once a week was a necessity. It was just nice wearing things that smelt pleasant and felt fresh and light on his skin. Alex scooted up to where JD was and slipped the pencil from his fingers, holding it in his spindly fingers while he inspected his face.
"Yeah, well, so much 'beauty sleep' can't have a positive effect." Alex sighed, reaching over a grabbing a baby wipe for JD's face, wiping it before it could protest and shy away. What? Alex liked clean things. "Now, let me do this." He muttered, narrowing his eyes slightly in concentration while he took the pencil to Jack's lower lids, running his thumb over the black line to smudge it a bit and give it a softer look.
"Have you even tried to find something to do during the day? Like... maybe... help me out?" Sure, his friend helped him out some days with busking but then sleep always beat that. Jack probably didn't have to worry so much about getting good change or whatever since he easily could make what Alex made in a few days in just one night. "The van needs a wash... plus a good vacuum, and we're due a trip to the laundrette."

Jack went to protest when Alex grabbed the pencil out of his hand. He could put on eyeliner fine. He might have pouted a little when Alex started cleaning his face, but never actually said anything. He knew he should look good for tonight, and if that meant letting Alex wash him up a bit and make him look good, then he wasn't going to complain. "Yeah. Okay. Wait till I get back tomorrow, and we'll both go out and play. I shouldn't be there long. I'll probably just leave as early as I can. Depends on the person I guess." Jack muttered. All people were different. Some wanted you to leave directly after the job, some wanted to sleep and cuddle. Some didn't care whether you slept there or not, as long as you were gone as soon as you woke up, and then there was the weirdo's that wanted you to stay for breakfast or something. Those were the people Jack had to book it from.
"Yeah. Alright. We can do all that tomorrow after I get some decent money and we go out and play for a bit if you want." Jack smiled softly at Alex. He felt bad that he slept in a lot and didn't always go with Alex. He made sure Alex wasn't messing with his make up and leaned in to kiss Alex's cheek sweetly. He owed him so much. He owed him his life. "I'm sorry I didn't go with you this morning." Jack smiled against Alex's cheek before leaning back in case Alex wanted to keep doing stuff with his face.

Hopefully they'd be able to catch the lunch crowd; people on lunch dates and others trying to get a bite in to eat between work. He ignored JD's childish pout and continued circling the guy's eyes with a bold, yet smooth, line of black. Some may find it odd how Alex liked to do this but the sprite didn't care. He just liked taking care of people who meant a lot to him. And he also just liked cleaning things and making them pretty.
"If you were honestly sorry you'd buy me a jam bun on the way back. Along with those cat biscuits." Alex smirked, shifting a bit closer after catching a light kiss on his lips. He wrapped his legs around JD's waist and pulled him snugly close, using the excuse that he just wanted to get a better look at his eyes in the light through the window. JD really had nice eyes; they were the common brown colour but they seemed to swirl with deepness and a richness not many irises of that colour could obtain. In short, Alex found his eyes beautiful and would jump at the chance to make-up them like he just had.
"Dare you to help wash the van t'morrow in some jean shorts and a shirt tied in the middle." Alex snickered quietly, capping the eyeliner pencil and popping it back into JD's girly make up bag. "Or just somethin' real slutty. Punishment for not helping me today." It wasn't really something so horrible that could be classed as a 'punishment' but, then again, the weather had been pretty cold lately. Water, skimpy clothes and a hateful wind was a certain recipe for a stubborn cold. But revenge was revenge.

Jack snorted at Alex when he started trying to get him to do things because he hadn't helped him today. Go figure. Little moocher he was. JD loved that about him though. They weren't friends for nothing. "Maybe I'll pick one up. Depends on if I feel like it or not." Jack joked with him, but he knew he would pick one up, it wasn't like that was a big deal. He let Alex get closer to him, kissing him back when he lightly pecked his lips. They weren't big on personal boundaries. Not when it came to each other at least. They had been with each other far too long to care about anything like that.
"You know. That's not much of a dare. I'll do it naked if you want." Jack laughed, he wasn't a big one on modesty either. He probably wouldn't do it naked... because there would be a chance he would get in trouble for that, but that wasn't the point. If he could, he would run around naked all day long. He's briefly considered nudism as a religion. Jack wrapped his arms around Alex's waist, holding him on Jack's lap with a smirk playing on his lips. "I think you just want to see me in something slutty, Alexander Jay." JD joked, his smirk growing.
