So, where to start? I never know and I swear I never will either. But, anyway, I'm obviously going to have to begin somewhere. Here we go then.
I was born into a bunch of Italian fools over in Venice, just over two decades ago. Everything was fine and dandy back then, the Vannucci brothers at least acted like they got on with each other. These two brothers being my father, Alonzo, and his elder sibling, Marcello. Our two families were quite close before my grandfather died which meant I saw a lot of my cousin Sebastian. He became a sort of big brother to me as we grew up together in Venice.
Neither my own nor Uncle Marcello's family had been particularly wealthy, although it was true that we were more well-off then a fair few other people. However, my uncle managed to inherit all of his father's money when Grandpa Gianluca passed away which left nothing for my father Alonzo. It also meant that my parents needed to get jobs now that they weren't receiving financial support from Grandpa and Uncle Marcello wasn't giving away any of his new fortune to us. This meant that not only did Marcello and Alonzo have a falling out but it started a big family war too and forced my family to move the England when I was around six years old. My English wasn't even that good when we moved to a small town called Newhaven but I soon got the hang of it after a few years then. Nowadays, it's my Italian that's getting rusty since I have no use for it anymore.
As I was saying, yes, we moved to England and my parents both got jobs and I attended school there. I was taught about how my uncle's part of the family were not to be envied, but hated instead. Which is true enough. Marcello didn't even have the heart to share his money with my father when, surely, he deserved some of it. I guess that, all in all, I was bought up to be wary of trusting people and be generally rather... bitter, shall we say. The way I treat my Uncle Marcello's family is the way I tend to treat all people now. I don't see that there's a problem with it.
