Since young, Leonard has been taking care of himself due to (according to his grandparents) his father being in the army and his mother dying from cancer when he was really young. His grandparents had fought for custody of him and he lived with them for 13 years, trying not to get in their way and help them make their lives easier. However, when his grandparents died, he discovered that he had an older brother who resided in Honey Tree town and decided to make his way down there so that he wouldn’t have to be put into the foster system or anything.

Some more prominent traits that Leonard possesses are that he has a definite problem with authority. Mostly due to the official independence that he now has, he will always do the exact opposite of what authority figures tell him to do (except when they’re pulling the reverse-psychology thing on him, he’s not stupid) just because he can. He also shows intense distaste whenever a guardian-like figure shows concern over him, but does not purposefully cause authority figures any trouble. He also seems to have a great reluctance to participate in anything that might have the slightest possibility of pulling his grades down unless they are completely necessary, as he places his grades in high regard.

Leonard also (refuses to admit that he) has self-confidence issues, as most teenagers do, and distances himself from others. He converses with others, but only when necessary, and does not look to forge strong emotional bonds to anyone. However, when he wishes for attention, he finds himself quite easily obtaining it. Leonard also seems struck by the idea that being rich is the key to everything, and if someone is rich, there will be no lack of friends, lovers, or… well, anything. Leonard’s financial problems might be a reason as to why he keeps himself distanced from others.

Although Leonard seems to truly enjoy helping others, but sees no point in it as he ‘often has better things to do’. For an unknown reason, Leonard tries his best never to use his powers. He also babysits regularly.
