Dan is a twenty-two year old, shapeshifter from Australia. He has a younger sister who he cares about dearly, even if he might not completely show it. He cares next to nothing to his parents who practically ignore him. Apart from his family issues, Daniel is slightly cocky and often acts like he rarely cares about things. He likes a drink despite his commitment to trying to stay healthy and does flirt on the odd occasion. He’s someone that’s confident in himself at the best of times as well as his powers. But deep down, where only a few people have been and is very hard to see, Daniel is a sweet guy. He wants to love someone and gets loved in return. However he doesn’t show this time as often as he should and often need someone he cares about dearly to bring it out of him.

Friends

Dan can find it rather difficult to make friends, partially due to his personality. If he does find one, then he’ll try and keep you around as much as possible. They do have to put up with him shifting into them every so often, but it becomes bearable after a while and can come in useful from time to time. Another part of him feels like he doesn’t need them, but in reality, he does need a shoulder to lean on.

On the other hand, he doesn’t find it as difficult to make enemies. Usually it’s due to something he’s said or done that’s made them hate him. Other times it can be due to the whole money/family issue he’s got going on or a completely different issue. It’s no matter to Dan, it doesn’t both him at all really, as long as they don’t try to start anything with him. Everyone has enemies.

Very rarely will Daniel have a girlfriend. Over the twenty-two years he’s been on this earth, he’s only had one girlfriend. And that ended badly. It’s not that he doesn’t have crushes, he does. But when it comes to topics like love, Dan hides it very well and very rarely does anything about it. It was only due to his sister that Dan got his first girlfriend in the first place. If he is ever lucky enough to find love again, his personality does change. He becomes very caring, sweet and a gentleman towards them and only them.

Melissa would absolutely love Dan. She wants to travel some day, and would love to meet someone that isn't from the UK, or Honey Tree Town. She'd want to be that shoulder to lean on, and that person that he could spend time with. c: She'd be friendly towards him, and wouldn't mind seeing him around town. She'd be a friend to him, I hope?xD She'd be able to cope with his shifting and the like.

Gary and Dan

These two, I think, might get on okay. Gary would be willing to be a listening ear, and would want to be there for him. He'd try to help out with Dan's money issues, possibly lending him some money or just trying to help. He would be happy to see him doing well, and would want to be a supportive member of his social group. Opinions? <3

Sounds like a good idea! Dan would have to learn to trust a bit before telling her, but I guess that's normal. He wouldn't mind speaking about Australia seeing as he misses it there. As long as she can put up with his shifting and snarky comments, I think they'd get along fine.

Gary and Dan
Can I just point out that Dan's family is rich, I'm not sure if you got that, sorry. >.< He tends to try and ignore it and only use the money when necessary, which is why he got a job in the first place. I do agree with the supportiveness. Dan would like a guy around to be able to lean on, even if Melissa is there, a guy needs some other shoulders right? :3 Hope this helps.

Does Daniel waiter at the Brennville cafe or is it somewhere else? If it's at the Brennville cafe, then they'll work together but Sebastian is pretty quiet at work, normally only talking when a customer needs him, so they probably won't have interacted much unless Daniel starts the conversation. If Sebastian found it he was a shape-shifter though he'd probably be interested enough to ask how he shifts because he's curious about the other powers people have and shape-shifting has always interested him. I don't really see them as being any more then acquaintances though. Anything you want to add/edit/change? (:

Unfortunately he doesn't, he works at Origin Restaurant. But Acquaintances seems like a good idea considering. The shapeshifting and trickerster thing would make for an interesting conversation between the two of them.
