tremble little lion man It was with a heavy sigh that Sebastian pulled himself out of bed this morning. He wasn't looking forward to the day ahead, a full day of work was not something he wanted. Rubbing the sleep away from his eyes, he made his way to the bathroom, quickly claiming the shower before either of his parents had the chance to. It was seven in the morning when his alarm had gone off and, for a Saturday morning, Sebastian felt like this was some cruel punishment. If he didn't need the money that the job gave him he'd have definitely quit, although his co-workers weren't to bad. It was mostly the early mornings that put him off, he enjoyed sleeping in.
Finishing his shower quickly, Sebastian dried off, brushed his teeth, and got dressed into his work uniform which consisted of plain black trouses and a white polo shirt with the cafe's logo on the top left. It was nothing special but he'd seen worse uniforms, overall he couldn't really complain. His parents were just waking up for work as he headed downstairs for breakfast, the time already eight o'clock. He'd spent longer in the shower than he really needed too but the shower had at least woken him up so it hadn't been a waste. Going to work half asleep was never a good idea. Last time he'd done that he'd nearly fallen asleep at the counter, his boss had not been impressed.
Making a slice of toast, he ate quickly, following it with a quick glass of water in fear of being late. Pulling on his black work shoes, Sebastian pocketed the house key, his mobile, and some change so he could buy lunch, pulled on his jacket and left. He needn't say goodbye to his parents, they knew he'd be at work, and he rarely ever did now. Sebastian loved his parents dearly but they had a tendancy to draw things out longer than they needed to be and he just never had the time for it in the mornings.
Walking to work was usually the best part of his day, as long as the weather was decent. Sebastian had yet to learn to drive, mainly because he saw no need when he could walk most places. Sure, it could take him a while if he wanted to get over to the ruins or the beach but that didn't bother him, it was his preffered way of travel. Brennville cafe wasn't far from his house, only a fifteen minute walk, and so he took it slow, ignoring the other people who he passed on the streets. It was mostly dog walkers at this time of the morning, the occasional person simply strolling around or heading off somewhere.
He made it to work pretty quickly, getting there a little earlier than he'd been expecting. It was ten to nine by the time he clocked in, smiling politely at the co-worker who was already here. Usually there was only three or four of them here at a time, the cafe was never busy enough to demand lots of people which Sebastian was thankful for. He liked working in a quiet place. Moving behind the counter, he changed the specials for today on the blackboard that hung up on the wall. It was one of the only things he had to do upon starting work, then it was just a case of opening the shop and giving out food and drink to the costumers, occasionally going to tables to answer peoples questions or adjust something about their meal for them.
Flipping the sign on the door to open, Sebastian knew it wouldn't be long before the customers started coming in. Most people came here before work, some just to get breakfast because they felt like treating themselves. He wondered vaguely if anyone he knew would be in today as people started walking in and he began taking out food orders to the customers. |

[/div] a new experience, It didn't surprise Alice in the slightest when she woke up and rubbed her eyes that she smudged dirt over her face. It covered her hands, arms, and parts of her floor. She had been tampering with her own garden just last night and collapsed as soon as she made it inside. This was typical of Alice. Always working in her garden to the point of exhaustion. She simply loved it so much. Being able to create wonderful masterpieces, however not showing them to anyone. In the back of the young woman's mind there was always something wrong with her garden and thus she had to change it. Change it before anyone she knew was allowed to see it.
That was one of the reasons why she had moved out of her parents home. The young woman had began tampering with the plants in their back garden and her mother didn't like that one bit. Her mother was an Earth Sprite as well, whom enjoyed having things neat, tidy, and in perfect order. Also known as, the complete opposite of Alice. Her father, however, was a water sprite whom enjoyed changing the large water feature they always had in the garden almost every day. One of Alice's most fondest memories was when she was young and she would spin around as fast as she could on the grass while her father wizzed tiny water droplets around her and her mother grew vines from her feet to tangle itself in the young girl's body. They never tangled as much as Alice created her vines with, however. They always had some sort of order to their tangled web and never let the girl fall over.
Standing up, Alice sighed and shook her head slightly. She didn't want to be cleaning up at that exact moment; especially on one of her only days off. With another sigh escaping from her lips, the young woman moved into the bathroom where she showered and cleaned herself up from the dirt and muck that continued to cling to her skin. Removing herself from the bathroom and entering her bedroom, Alice changed into red and black dress. Throwing one of her favourite jackets over the top, the outfit was complimented by a pair of red ballet flats. Looking at herself in the mirror, Alice smiled and gave herself a little nod of approval. If anyone special was to be seen today, she would be ready. Not that she expected anyone special to find her.
Stepping out of her apartment, Alice began the slow walk into town and stopped every so often to look into a window and wonder what it would be like to own something inside. There were beautiful dresses, furniture, but one thing that stopped her in her tracks was something wonderfully amazing. A large, stone dragon statue. It's eyes were large and fierced, while it's claws were hidden underneath it's wings as his arms were folded against his chest. Alice imagined what type of things she could incorporate that into her garden or even the one at her work. Shaking her head slightly, the young woman continued on.
Coming to a hault outside Brennville Cafe, Alice looked inside and a small smile came to her face as she saw one of her favourite waiters rushing around inside. Running a hand through her hair, the young woman stepped inside and smiled towards another waiter which made himself known. Motioning towards Sebastian, Alice nodded her head slightly before sitting at the table the other waiter took her to. "Can you just tell him that someone is here to see him, don't tell him my name... What am I talking about, you don't even know my name. Hi, I'm Alice." Realising she was rambling, Alice pushed her lips together and grinned. Taking a small piece of dirt from her pocket, the young woman began to try once more to create the little pizza flowers to show off infront of Seb. [/b][/div] notes: It was amazing! I hope this is okay. ^.^

tremble little lion man Stiffling a yawn, Sebastian grabbed his tray and picked up the newest order - two cups of coffee and a ham and cheese panini. The melted cheese caused him to hold the tray away from him, carefully balancing so he didn't spill the coffees. Sebastian hated cheese, the only time he could ever eat it was on pizza which was, apparently, weird according to his parents. He didn't see how but then his parents thought drinking anything other than green tea all the time was weird, he probably shouldn't question it.
With a smile on his face, he set down the coffees and food on to the table with ease. His first few days working here had been had, Sebastian had basically no balance at first. There had been an awful lot of spilt drinks and broken plates which his boss has certainly not appreciated. It had been hard to learn how to balance the tray and set the food down and, with the cups always so full, it took a lot of concentration to not accidentally spill it a little. It was easier now, he'd had a lot of practice, but when there was the occasional kid running around the cafe or it was extra busy it could be difficult to meanouver the crowd and not cause any problems. It was one of the reasons Sebastian was glad he worked here instead of one of the busier restuarants, it seems to be much harder to get around the people there.
Making his way back to the kitchen, he put the next order on to the tray, taking a look around the tables to where the order was headed. Picking the tray up carefully he went to turn around when someone tapped him on his shoulder, causing him to flinch slightly and spill one of the contents of the cups on to the tray. "Shit," he muttered, placing the tray back on the worktop and turning to scowl at whoever had caused him to do it. "Sorry, Sebastian. Someone's here to see you. Table eight," his co-worker said, smiling apologetically as he began fixing the spilt drink for Sebastian. Curious, Sebastian looked over the tables, wondering who on earth would visit him at work. His first thought was that his parents had turned up, he knew they sometimes came here mostly because they got discount. He couldn't see them though, who he did see was Alice, playing with what looked like dirt on the table.
He was tempted to abandon the tray and go see why she was here but he knew that would only lead to him getting into trouble. "Thanks for clearing up the tray," Sebastian muttered with a nod, quickly making the new drink before taking the tray to the table, apologising for the wait. Usually he was incredibly quick at getting orders out to people and being slow made him feel bad. Letting customers down was not something he enjoyed doing, some of them may be annoying as all hell but he'd still rather they leave happy than angry. This was mostly because that way he didn't get bad feedback from the customers and he was more likely to keep his job but it was probably better to pretend the customers happiness was important just because he cared.
Walking over to Alice's table, he held the tray by his side. "Well this is a surprise," he said, eyeing the dirt warily. "Although I'm yet to decide whether it's a good one." Sliding into the seat opposite her, he tilted his head to the side curiously as he looked at the dirt she was holding for a moment and then back to her face. He wasn't sure how long he could get away with sitting here but assumed it would be a few minutes at the very least. The others could cope without him for a little while. |
