Tessa grew up in England with her loving mother and father and five siblings. She has four brothers, three older, one younger, and a seven year old sister. Tessa is a very bubbly, energetic, and down-to-earth girl. She doesn't usually get caught up in very superficial things, but is a huge romantic. She loves making flowers bloom, and she's especially good at roses and lilies. After her first plane ride Tessa decided that heights were definitely not for her, and that she definitely prefered to keep her feet firmly planted on the ground, where she belonged. Animals are treasured by the young girl, and she wishes she had the will power to become a vegetarian, but it's never quite worked out for her. Tessa is also rather good at singing and joined choir in sixth grade. She's not extremely clever, but isn't unintelligent either. Her grades have always been above average, and while she'd love to be considered the best student by her teachers, she thinks that it's god enough. Everyone says that Tessie is easy to get along with because she's never mean and is always ready to make a new friend, making her one of the most liked people around. She tries as much as possible to stand up for everything and everyone she believes in and is often outgoing and silly. Tessa usually seems to know when someone is feeling down, but sometimes acts oblivious to people's problems. Overall, she's very sweet and is a friend to have.

Since Tessa is an earth sprite, her powers all have to do with the ground and plants. She's very good at making flowers bloom, especially lilies and roses. The flowers Tessa grows usually end up looking more colorful and vibrant than the ones that grow on their own. When she gets very angry, which hardly ever happens, there may be a small earthquake. Other earth sprites tend to get along with Tessa exceptionally well, as they have something very big in common, while air sprites and fire sprites will find it more difficult to be friends. Tessa also doesn't like night walkers very much as she doesn't feel that the dark is very nice. When it comes to her powers, Tessa is in control most of the time, and she hates it when people call her a plant freak due to her abilities. She's very happy that she is an earth sprite.
