Chase grew up on the outskirts of Detroit in a little suburb called Livonia. It was a little village type area that was never really a town of it's own, yet was blocked off from the horrible streets of Detroit. There was a few times Chase wandered into the bad part of the biggest city in Michigan but didn't stay very long. It wasn't a very good place to be and even when Chase was in the the darkest of mindset's he wouldn't want to be there.

He grew up in a house that looked like all the other houses in Livonia. It was nothing special. It was rather big for the three of them, though. He had no siblings. When he was younger, he wanted them. He wanted to have a younger sibling to take care of and be protective of. After he realized what his dad was, he didn't want anyone else in that house. He would never wish that on anyone. Chase's father, Matthew, was an alcoholic. Not just an alcoholic, however. He was an abusing alcoholic. All his life, Chase was physically abused by his own father. He was abused even more when he started realizing he didn't like girls and liked guys a lot more. He came out as gay at a young age, not ashamed of showing his true self. His mother was always on his side and tried to protect him, but she was just abused like Chase was. He never truly knew what a father's love was because his father didn't have it. His mother loved him, but sometimes Chase felt like that wasn't enough. He never really had any friends growing up.

Chase didn't always know he was an Earth Sprite. He didn't know about it until he started getting angry and making things happen that he couldn't explain. One time it happened in front of a Sprite and the Sprite that saw told Chase what happened. He went to tell his parents, and that was when his mom sat him down and told him he was adopted. He couldn't believe that he was adopted and didn't truly know who he really was. He decided to leave. He had scars all over his body by his pretend dad and ones on his wrists that his pretend dad forced him to make. He didn't need to stay here. So he took off at the age of 14 and went off to Honey Tree Town to start a new life. He enrolled in Nether Field school and began to learn about being a Sprite. He used the anger toward his pretend parents to make himself better. He got an apartment and a job at the local cafe. He's still currently working there. He still doesn't really have friends, but it's not from lack of trying. No one has ever tried to be his friend and he's not extroverted enough to push himself on others. He's not shy, but he's not the overly hyper type.

He has a great personality for what he's been through. He's extremely nice and thoughtful, always looking at what others want more than himself. He never drank and was always nice to anyone that talked to him, but he never really had friends. He lived on his own, made his own money, he occasionally called his old mother and occasionally she would send him money because she felt bad. She had left his dad, and was living on her own. Just like Chase was in a town he didn't have any friends in.
