[/div] screaming solves everything, Things like this didn't happen every day. It wasn't like someone had simply woken up that morning and stated that they wanted to build a giant hedge maze... Or maybe that was how it happened. Needless to say, here Alice was. Standing infront of the large white gates which allowed the guests entry into the large maze. Her mouth had dropped open slightly as her eyes gazed upwards at the hedge towering over-head. "Do they honestly expect us to find our way in and out of there? What happens if something goes wrong, and we want out? What happens if..." "Well, hello. I see you gawking at the gate. Did you want in?" A large man walked over towards Alice and extended his hand for her to shake. After eyeing it nervously for a few seconds, the young woman had reluctantly shook his hand before moving her gaze towards the ground as the male spoke once more.
"Nothing can go wrong. There are safety precautions in place. As well as guests, there are people in there whom know the way in, out, the middle, as well as the few secret areas scattered around the place." The male had winked at this point, and Alice didn't understand that he was trying to indicate that they were meant for two people to be together in the wonderful maze and talk about their plan to escape. However Alice hadn't caught on and instead she nodded and drug around in her pocket for her spare change. After handing it to the male, he turned and gave her a small compass and a map before pushing her towards the entrance. "Good luck, hope you don't die!" "But... I would have wanted to wait for... Wait, die?" The young woman spun around on her feet and planted them directly into the ground; small vines growing and making her feet stick to the dirt.i "Just a figure of speech, hun." The male had stated, shaking his head before laughing a little and making his way back towards another small group of people.
Releasing her feet's grip on the vines; Alice looked down at her red ballet-flats and thanked herself for wearing a pair of jeans and a red band-shirt - she didn't want any of her dresses to get ruined. Running a hand through her hair, the young woman began to move slowly into the maze and soon found herself lost and in a slight panic. She began to cling to the wall and almost went against her rule of not cheating to find her way to a small pocket of something, anything that was bigger than the narrow walk-way which they had created. Her head had began to spin, her feet had been carrying her around in a circle. Alice just wanted to stand in the middle of the pathway, place her hands to her head and scream.
After a few seconds, she did just that. Dropping the map on the ground - the compass had been secured neatly in her pocket before she had entered the maze - Alice raised her hands and screamed at the top of her lungs. She heard someone laughing and then another joined in her yells. They thought it was a game. Pressing her back against the hedge wall, the young woman slowly slipped down until she sat on the dirt and her knees raised up to her face. She wasn't going to get out of this maze. Why had she let her brain talk her into this? He lied. notes: Aww.... Poor Alice. ;-;

[atrb=width,400] lost in this labyrinth As she payed the man at the gates, Olivia wondered what on Earth had possessed her to agree to such a silly idea. How was she going to get out of this maze? She wasn't all that brilliant at figuring things out. Yet, with her pride on the line, Olivia let go of her dollar and inhaled deeply. She was going to do this. She was going to enter the maze and find her way to the tower. Perhaps after she finished she could try again with her eyes closed.
Olivia stepped in and was faced with billions of leaves. There were three routes in front of her, and they looked so alike, Olivia wondered for a moment if it was just an illusion. Perhaps one of the tricksters was playing the game. From what she'd heard about them, they did that quite often. Of course, Olivia woldnever actually approach someone like that. She was scared to death of the idea of someone being able to control what she saw. It really wasn't fair, she thought. The blonde would never use her powers to manipulate someone, if that was even possible when you were an air sprite. All she could do was make small breezes and hover a foot above the ground. She couldn't make pretty flowers, or form the water into something, or even bend fire. And making illusions and changing her shape was completely out of the question.
She sighed at her thoughts and tugged at the hairs that had fallen out of her french ponytail. Olivia tended to do that when she was nervous or confused. And at the moment, the nineteen year old was definitely both nervous and confused. She was terrified of getting lost, and extremely anxious to go any farther in the maze. She was also very confused. Which way should she go? Right, left, straight? Going back wasn't an option. she'd heard what they called her. "What a joke. She'd crack the minute she stepped up on stage. How can we expect her to be a star when she can't even speak properly? A scared little weakling." The words pounded in Olivia's head. She knew that she shouldn't let it get to her. The other girls were just bitter. Bitter and jealous... and possibly right. How could Olivia possibly step up on stage in front of a thousand people and be expected to preform a flawless scene when she hadn't even been able to tell the large, intimidating security guard what she was there for? Actresses didn't crumble under pressure, they grew.
Determined to keep going, the air sprite chose the right path and walked ahead. It was damp and dirty in the maze, and while Olivia knew she should have expected that kind of thing, she was still sorry that she had worn such nice clothing. Olivia always came off as professional but sweet at her auditions due to her style, and she was very proud of it. Except maybe her pretty purple ballet flats and striped purple blouse with the bow at the front weren't quite right for what she was currently doing. Once again, Olivia sighed. Oh well. She might as well continue. As she'd been thinking, she'd wandered even deeper into the maze. And suddenly Olivia realized something. Sh had absolutely no idea where she was, or how she got there. And worst of all, she could hear someone screaming, and they seemed close.

[/div] screaming solves everything, After a little while, the other person whom had joined in on her screams had hushed themselves and there was no longer any laughter. Was this just her imagination, or had they actually stopped making noise? After a few more moments of silence, Alice turned her head slightly and saw a small bird bouncing around the ground beside her. He was a beautiful little bird whom would stop every now and again to look up at Alice and tilt his head to the side, almost as if he were asking if she wanted to play with him. However the young woman was perfectly content in sitting where she was and watching the bird bounce around. It wasn't until a few minutes had passed once more that Alice turned towards the small area where she had dropped her map and picked it up. Dusting it off, she placed it back within the comfort of her pocket and stood.
At this exact moment, the small bird had taken flight and landed on Alice's shoulder. "It's funny... But it's almost as if you know my emotions about this maze." Lifting her arm, the young woman poked a finger out for the bird to perch himself on and he happily jumped to the earth sprite's finger. A light smile came to the young woman's features as she felt somewhat peaceful and the scared emotions that she had been feeling just moments ago washed away completely. This little bird - this little creature - washed away the worry in his tiny face and made Alice's smile grow wider every time he tilted his head to the side and whistled at her.
"I see you made a friend." A familiar voice spoke behind her, as the bird flapped his wings and flew away. Alice watched as he turned the corner of the maze and her eyes moved to the voice. "You didn't have to scare him off... By the way, you lied." A small laugh followed her words as the young woman stared at the buff male infront of her. He had more than likely heard her screams and had been instructed to run into the maze in order to find anyone whom was having trouble. However at that particular moment, Alice didn't need help. Sure, she could have used it a few minutes ago, but now that her little bird friend had come along she was perfectly happy now. Who knows, maybe she would have been able to bump into someone she knew. "How did I lie?" "Nevermind. I best be on my way if I want to reach the middle before dark." With a simple wave of her hand, Alice turned on her heels and began to make her way through the maze once more. This time, her map was out and she continued to stare at it; unsure if she was to bump into anyone or not. outfit: HERE | notes: Aww.... [atrb=width,400] lost in this labyrinth After hearing the screaming die down, Olivia relaxed. Someone had probably helped the person out, and for a second Olivia considered this tactic of exiting the maze. But she knew tht pleading for help would only make her more of a wimp, so she plucked up the courage to continue and pulled out the map she'd been given. It would certainly have been helpful knowing where she was, and it struck the girl that she should have paid better attention to where she was going. Olivia tried to remember the route she'd taken after entering the hedge maze, but it was all a blur in her head. I shouldn't have done this. The blonde thought and sighed, her shoulders drooping. Nothing made sense. Eventually, the actress came to the decision that she would simply arrive at the area she'd heard the scream from. Perhaps she'd be able to locate and follow some footprints and join the person. Two heads were better than one, especially when you were trapped in a labyrinth of leaves.
It wasn't difficult to find the spot. Olivia didn't have a very remarkable memory, but she wasn't completely hopeless. No, she distinctly remembered where the high-pitched sound had come from. Sure enough, there were imprints in the ground that looked very much like a shoe. Olivia examined them a little while and the proceeded to follow in the direction they lead. Even though the nineteen year old wasn't much of an athlete, and she actually disliked running very much, she soon broke into a jog. After all, she couldn't possibly catch up with someone that was so far ahead if she stayed at a slow, walking pace. Her feet throbbed a little and she knew that flats were not the best shoes for exercise of any sort, but what choice did she have? If Olivia ever wanted to get out of this maze, she needed to know where she was, and she needed someone to help her. The blonde had never been good at figuring things out quickly.
A few minutes later Olivia came to halt and sat down. Her feet hurt and she cold feel the perspiration. Beads of sweat had formed on her skin, and she regretted wearing long pants and a long sleeved blouse. Not her best decision, if yo asked Olivia. Where is this person? She thought impatiently. She was sick of running, and she was sick of being lost. The girl had let the competition get to her and was now paying the price. It wasn't fair, though. "Hello?" Olivia called out, desperately. "Is anyone there?" When there was no reply, the girl's shoulders drooped and a frown formed on her face. She forced herself to stand up and continue. Then, from somewhere very close, she heard something. Words. Sure, Olivia couldn't make out the exact text, but she knew that it was a reply. A reply was a reply, and gave Olivia the hope and determination to call out again. "Where are you?"
