And I’ll admire your expensive tastes Aphrodite swung her long ginger hair over her bare shoulder, taking another look at her surroundings. A black and silver bikini covered the necessary reigns on her body without exposing anything. Her clothes were neatly stacked on her bag next to the towel she was currently laying on. She couldn’t have asked for a better day. The sun was miraculously out and it was the perfect opportunity for Aphrodite to try and top up her tan before winter came out in full swing. True she would probably end up burning if she stayed out too long, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t try. Flicking her sunglasses over her eyes, she rested her left arm back down on the sand after rubbing in an escaped bit on sun cream. Her elbows had made dents in the sand from where they were holding her up and it was starting to hurt. Aphrodite ignored this pain and continued to look over the other people on the beach, a small scowl on her face.
You would have thought that the beach was one of her favourite places, but Aphrodite wasn’t exactly in the best of moods. She had come to the beach to do a bit of spying as well as to relax. Something that in her mind was classed as ‘fun’. She would learn what she could from a distance and then swoop in and see if she could get anything interesting from the person. Whether this be information of some kind or a certain item. These things could then be used against said person or other people in the future if she really needed it. Aphrodite had always found it useful, especially if the information or item was somewhat useful itself. Currently, all the people on the beach had been somewhat lacking in the interesting feature department. All she could see around her were parents with annoying little children or children entering their teenage years who were also annoying. She knew when she moved here just how small the population was, but she didn’t expect there to be literally no-one her age. That was the fun group. People her own age. They were always holding grudges against others and that’s what she loved the most. To anyone other than Aphrodite, this sort of thing would look twisted in a way, but it was what she had grown up with.
Aphrodite huffed in frustration and took on last look around, trying to go as slowly as possible to try and find someone. If she couldn’t spot someone she would just stay her for an hour or so and then leave. There’s no point wasting a lovely day like this just laying here. She thought. Scanning the last part of the beach visible to her, she sighed again and lay down. Placing her arms over her lower stomach, Aphrodite relaxed and closed her eyes. Really, the beach was the one place where she could lay down and relax without being continuously scrutinised for any good reasons. Though then again, she had got a few dirty looks thrown her way when she had made her way across the beach. Not that she particularly cared whether or not people liked her, it just felt good without her parents nagging her about one thing or another.
Just as she felt her body relax itself fully, Aphrodite felt sand spray all over her legs. She shot up as her eyes snapped open, her head swinging over to the direction she felt the sand being kicked in. She saw someone look back as they walked off. “Hey, watch it with the sand!” She called, her eyebrows furrowing together. As Aphrodite watched the person walk off, a small idea popped into her mind. Maybe this was the person she’d been looking for. She saw the persons head turn towards her and Aphrodite let a small smile cross her face as she looked back at the person.

It was all sunny and warm and just had this really nice atmosphere about it. It wasn't too busy but there were still people around and the majority of them looked as if they were really enjoying themselves. However, it would be a whole lot better if Brent had gone to the effort of inviting somebody out here with him but he'd probably just get around to that next time. Besides, it had been kind of alright just wandering around by himself for a little bit. By this point though, Brent was bored out of his mind.
Woah, oops, Brent may've just kicked a load of sand at some woman who appeared to be sunbathing. The sprite hadn't even noticed until she'd pointed it out. Now this was why people were forever telling him to concentrate on where he was walking whenever he went out because there were actually other people around. That was practically impossible though, Brent was sure of it.
Looking back at the woman, Brent noticed that she was... smiling? Oh. Okay. That surely meant it would be alright if he went over and attempted to talk with her. He hadn't spoken to anyone in a whole twenty minutes, it was amazing. So now he was definitely allowed to put himself out of his own misery and go and probably end up irritating the hell out of someone.
"So, hey, sorry 'bout that but you don't mind if I join you? Of course you don't." the young man beamed as he walked back over to where the woman was and plopped himself down in the sand next to her. [/style] TAG: Aphrodite! NOTES: :3 OUTFIT: clicky! |

And I’ll admire your expensive tastes Apparently her smile meant that the guy could come and sit himself down directly next to her. Well, thinking that, it was Aphrodite’s intention to try and strike up a conversation with the fellow anyway. But he was a bit…direct about it all the same. Though it would save her the ‘awkward’ moments with trying to get into a conversation with him the first place. “Sure have a seat. Kick more sand in my direction.” The last part of her speech was mumbled, since she got a few more specks of sand flung in her direction. “You sure do love your sand don’t you?” Aphrodite looked the male up and down. The sand was mostly over his feet, but now he was just sitting in a big pile of well…sand. Which would most likely get him covered in the stuff as well as stuck in the most awkward of places. “So, pretty guy, what might your name be?” There was nothing like trying to butter your victim up a little before trying to get underneath his skin in the most irritating of ways possible. Kind of like sand actually. She wasn’t going to lie to herself, the male had a certain hint of attractiveness about him anyway, so why not?
Aphrodite lifted her sunglasses onto her forehead to get a better look at the guy. Behind the sunglasses was a bit dim, but as her eyes adjusted to the sun, she could take a good look at who she was going to be speaking with. She was right what she before, this guy was kind of pretty. But she wouldn’t boost his ego even more by telling him that. “And apart from enjoying the lovely weather, what brings you to the beach?” She wasn’t normally the person to engage in pleasantries with other people, but if she wanted to have some fun, she would have to put herself through this. Which annoyed her to no end because she hated not getting straight to the point. Aphrodite leaned back on her towel, letting her free arm to prop herself up against the sand. She didn’t want to get covered in sand just yet. That could possibly wait until later. Until that time came around, she would just about to be careful as to where she moved. Placing the sunglasses back over her eyes, Aphrodite placed her other elbow down on the blanket again. She was going to have sore arms by the end of this.
“As long as you don’t get sand all over me again, I guess you could stay.” Aphrodite let a small smirk cross her face. It was more sarcastic than complimentary, but she wondered what the males reaction would be like. Some people didn’t take comments like that as lightly as others did.
