PERSONALITY:
Ilyas is very distrusting of strangers and usually rude. He keeps people at a distance with his cold attitude and it's an effective method. Even people he cares about are usually treated coldly, although he does have a softer side, which he shows at times; the only one who really gets to see it is his sister. He cares greatly for her and puts her wellbeing over that of his own.

He tends to use alcohol to forget about his problems and past and does absolutely not accept help from others. As a frequent visitor of bars, he sits by himself, drinks until the early hours and leaves again, without even have spoken to anyone. If someone attempts to speak to him, he either snarls at them or completely ignores them; whatever he sees fit. His attitude towards women does seem a tad bit different, and some have managed to break through his 'walls'.

He's a loner and the thought of asking for help doesn't even as much as cross his mind. Due to his ability, Ilyas loves water, but he also very much enjoys snow and ice. He doesn't like heat, though.

LIKES:
Water, ice and cold, hunting, cooking, alcohol, travelling.
DISLIKES:
FIRE, heat, abuse towards women, staying at one place for a longer period of time, the past.

BIOGRAPHY:
Ilyas and his younger sister Yaira had to deal with their abusive father for many years. Ilyas loathed the man, but as a boy, he simply wasn't strong enough to fight back. He did what he could to protect his sister. Up until he was 7 years old, he still had some feelings of love for his mother, who seemed to choose his father over her two children. But when, one quiet morning, he found a note on the kitchen table, telling him his mother had left, what was left of his heart broke and his rage grew.

At a young age, Ilyas discovered he was different from other children. When around water, he had always felt strangely comfortable. It started with a strange tingling in his fingers when he sat by the pond. But then, when he raised his hand one day and the water in front of him started to move, even freeze, he found himself shocked. He repeated the action, with similar results every time.

Years passed and Ilyas would practice his skills by the pond every day. It started with little splashed, but when he reached his teen years, he was able to created enormous waves and beautiful ice sculptures. At home, the situation hadn't changed, though. His father's behavior had grown worse since his mother left, and Ilyas had had enough. He'd grown, he was strong now; he could fight back. And he did. He decided to free himself and his sister from the tyrant that had been haunting them for all these years.

Ilyas had thought life would be careless after his father's death. But he was 14, with a younger sister to take care of. Obviously, as a child, he couldn't find work, and so he focused on hunting and providing food for the two of them that way. And the siblings actually agreed: they had a pretty nice life together.

It was a beautiful day when he met Jace. Her appearance left him in awe and she didn't seem unmoved by him either. It wasn't long before their romance evolved and they decided to get married. A year later, a beautiful baby girl was born. They named her Mahina; the Moon.
Their love was not meant to be, though, because 3 years later, both Jace and Mahina were killed in a house fire during a family visit. Ilyas did not attend, to his greatest regret. He blames himself still for their death, as he felt he could've saved them. He should've saved them.

With his heart broken and his life lost, Ilyas travelled from his village, with no destination in mind. As long as it was away from that place and away from the past.
